Activities Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties Will Include: • Will create and adhere to monthly activities calendar. • Assists with the planning and delivery of community events and volunteer activities. • Uses a team approach for developing, implementing and/or supervising all habilitative activities for the participants. • Creates and manages social media content, including text, audio, visual and multimedia formats. • Builds and maintains relationships with members of the community. • Monitors budget, equipment, and supplies to ensure that the activity schedule can be completed successfully. • Provides direct supervision and support to Direct Support Professionals while implementing both facility and community activities. • Other duties as assigned by the Director

Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma • Ability to Meet Background and Driving Check requirements

Preferred Qualifications: • Degree in Human Service Field, Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. • Previous experience working with persons with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities.

Competencies • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines • Excellent communication, written and organizational skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Social Media Platforms • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. • Strong organizational and project management skills, • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work extremely well as part of a team. • Must have a high level of creativity as well as attention to detail
